Resident in Counseling
Nailah Iszard, MEd, is a Resident in Counseling at C&C Therapy Associates. She has a previous history of conducting clinical intakes for clients in acute crises who were in need of behavioral health services. She aims to work with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, discrimination, life-transition, coming of age, relationships, self-efficacy, self-worth, workplace difficulties, and self-esteem.
Her therapeutic approach is typically psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic, meaning she looks into underlying motivations for current behaviors and aids in the shift from the role of “victim” to “survivor.” In her work, Nailah often emphasizes being present, living by the quote, “Life isn’t about getting through storms; it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” -Vivian Greene Imagine you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with depression, or facing a major life transition. How Long Does Therapy Usually Last?
It all depends on the help you are seeking and the range of your symptoms. Processing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, Bipolar disorder, A.D.H.D., O.C.D. and more, usually does not fit into a brief therapy model of treatment although everyone is a unique case. Contact me for a free 15-minute phone consultation, and we can discuss a possible length of treatment based upon the issues you want to address in therapy. Sometimes a determination of length of therapy becomes more clear after a couple sessions.
Payment / Insurance
Insurances accepted include Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sentara/Optima, Cigna, United Behavioral Health and HSA cards. Forms of payment accepted include cash, check, credit card.
