Ariana Fletter
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Old Dominion University, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from Virginia Wesleyan University.
My academic and professional experiences have fostered a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, and identity-related challenges, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and affirming environment where clients feel respected, valued, and empowered throughout the counseling process.
In addition to my counseling training, I have experience working with children and adolescents in educational and coaching settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with young people while also fostering collaboration with families and support systems. As I continue to grow as a counselor, I am excited to work with both children and adults in a clinical setting.
I believe that every person deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to share their experiences and explore meaningful change. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and ethical practice, with a commitment to helping clients feel heard, supported, and understood as we work together toward their goals.
