Resident In Counseling
My name is Consuela. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Therapy from The University of North Carolina-Wilmington and received my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I also earned a certification in Contemporary Theories in Mental Health Services. I have 10 years of diverse experience working with adolescents, and adults in several settings including group homes, independent senior living, psychiatric inpatient, psychosocial rehabilitation, community mental health, peer support, and outpatient therapy. I specialize in age groups 14 and up.
I believe that healing is a non-linear journey that doesn’t have to be explored alone. My goal is to assist individuals with finding the most appropriate journey for them on their way to living a more peaceful and productive life. I specialize in taking a person-centered approach to assist individual with unlocking their fullest potential and discovering their inner strength. Also have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Adlerian Theories. I believe that in life there are no “one size fit all” scenarios and that each individual has to make their own path. I am honored to walk this path with you and provide the utmost compassion and care during your journey to healing!
